Rules can be helpful, until they become rigid.

The one-in, one-out rule works best as a guideline, not a law.

When It Helps

  • In already-cluttered areas

  • When you’re prone to overbuying

  • For categories that easily multiply

When It Doesn’t

  • During transitions

  • When replacing essentials

  • When life is changing quickly

Flexible Boundaries Win

Organisation works when it adapts.

A rule you abandon is less useful than one you bend.
